Our Present

Moving into our third decade of operations, we are refining the scope of what we do and our reasons for doing it. In carefully nurtured partnerships we encourage change using our specialist knowledge and practical experience in the environment.

Over the next five years we shall expand our work on peatland restoration to include broader ecological restoration and management, and we will identify tactical opportunities, working with others to help mitigate the effects of climate change.

CCC sits on the Board of the Heather Trust, the Southern Uplands Partnership and the Galloway Glens Heritage Lottery Project. We also work extensively with the Galloway Fisheries Trust on catchment scale land use and strategies to tackle peatland and water conditions.
